Our Profile

HIT was founded in 1994 as an informal group run by trainees for trainees in haematology in the UK.

We aim to provide a forum for education, exchange of ideas and mutual support in an informal and sociable setting. We have now held twelve successful national meetings which were well attended by trainees across the UK. At present, there is no formal membership of our organisation and trainees in haematology are very welcome to attend our meetings and participate in other matters including comments and suggestions on the future aims and directions for the HIT group.

We have been very fortunate to have the generous financial support of our sponsors Chugai Pharma Limited and help of the British Society of Haematology in publicising our group and meetings.

We aim to maintain an up to date record of all trainees in haematology in the UK but unfortunately, our lists are often incomplete. We'll be very grateful if you would like to submit us your details and those of your trainee colleagues in your hospital or department through our online contact form. This will ensure that every body receives invitations to our national meetings.
